Best In Show: ECW Barely Legal 1997

April 14th, 2017

20 years ago Pay Per View got taken to the EXTREME when Extreme Championship Wrestling's Barely Legal took over the airwaves on April 13, 1997.

Three Way Theater is kicking off a brand new review show in addition to our regular movie reviews as Mike, Lumberjake, JC, and a special guest tackle a single event from wrestling history and determine what the best match of the card was.

Joining us for ECW Barely Legal is stage and screen's own "All Good" Anthony Greene as we determine what was Best In Show/Match of the Night/Five Star Classic/Four guys fucking... talking about wrestling.

Episode #12: Mad Bull

February 6th, 2017

An embittered professional wrestler, convinced that his life has no meaning outside the ring, meets a beautiful woman. Unlike most of the women he has known, she seems to be interested in him for himself rather than his fame or his money, and he finds himself becoming attracted to her.

ALTERNATE TAKE: A burly professional wrestler falls in love with a caring woman who helps convince him to abandon his vengeful search for the one who murdered his brother in this drama.

Which synopsis better fits the 1977 TV Movie Mad Bull? Somewhere comfortably in the middle. Luckily for you Three Way Theater breaks everything down in this hidden gem starring football player/part-time wrestler/Webster's dad Alex Karras as the titular Mad Bull.

Episode #11: No Holds Barred

January 16th, 2017

When world wrestling champion RIP THOMAS (Hulk Hogan) refuses to join a competing network, an evil executive creates a new program, "The Battle of the Tough Guys," where rules don't exist and men engage in an all-out brawl for money. After a murdering ex-convict by the name of ZEUS comes out on top as the toughest man, an ultimate title match with RIP is the TV network's best chance for big ratings. But when Rip refuses the challenge and his brother is roughed-up as a consequence, the world champion has no choice but to teach Zeus a lesson in a final No Holds Barred fight to the finish.

Mike, Lumbie, and JC go into conspiracy mode while the three are riding high, positing a cyberpunk reality that will blow your mind and blow the roof of No Holds Barred AND Mr. Nanny. What is it? You've gotta listen to find out.
